According to Yahoo Finance, pre-tax income for Spirit has been negative in each of the last four quarters:

-$128 million, -$205 million, --$138 million, and, most recently in the 2nd quarter of this year -$273 million.

That's close to 3/4 of a billion dollars in losses. Maybe they can convert those overhead storage bins into "2nd tier seating"
