Not to spol your fun, but your proof that 0.99999 = 1 is flawed:

If x = 0.9999, then 10x = 9.999, not 9.9999

Hope you're not disappointed. Think of it this way, if your proof were true, you'd be destroying the foundations of algebra, and that would in turn invalidate all the other fascinating things in your article :)
